David Schertler Secures Post-Indictment Deferred Prosecution Agreement in Federal Program Bribery and Conspiracy Case


JULY 2022

David Schertler secured a deferred prosecution agreement for a client nearly five years after the client was indicted with three codefendants on Federal Program Bribery and Conspiracy charges. The resolution will result in the dismissal of all charges against the client, a small business owner in the Midwest. Before the deferred prosecution agreement was reached, numerous trial dates had been set in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland between 2019 and 2022.
