David Schertler, Danny Onorato, and Lisa Manning participated in the 14th ABA International Cartel Workshop in Lisbon, Portugal. The Cartel Workshop is an interactive conference for experienced criminal antitrust lawyers organized by the ABA Antitrust Law Section. At the Workshop, Ms. Manning served on a panel focused on amnesty considerations for companies and individuals under criminal investigation, including potential application to the Department of Justice Antitrust Division Leniency Program. The panel approached the topic from the perspective of a fictional company under investigation by competition enforcement authorities that must decide whether to self-report issues to the DOJ with the goal of obtaining protection under the Leniency Program.
