MAY 2017

Chambers USA 2017 has ranked Schertler & Onorato as a leading law firm in Washington, D.C., in the area of Litigation: White Collar Crime and Government Investigations.  The commentary to the firm’s “Band 4” ranking describes S&O as a “[r]enowned Washington litigation boutique focused on providing top-level representation to clients in white-collar criminal defense cases, as well as during internal and government investigations.”  The Chambers commentary notes that S&O “[o]ffers effective guidance for its clients in a range of substantive areas, including anticorruption, international trade, government contracts and antitrust” and that S&O attorneys are a “[r]espected group that includes a number of former federal prosecutors, highly thought of for its trial capabilities.”  Sources interviewed by Chambers for purposes of its rankings “consider David Schertler to be ‘at the top of the list’ when it comes to defending individuals in complex white-collar cases.”  The commentary also notes that Danny Onorato “has a growing reputation for his white-collar criminal defense work” and “is adept at handling cases that concern serious allegations of fraud relating to banking, tax, securities and other financial matters, along with a wide range of other criminal charges.”  Chambers USA law firm rankings are based on the qualities of firm attorneys as well as the strength and depth of the firm’s practice area as a whole.
