“Best Law Firms” 2020 Edition Awards National and Metropolitan Rankings to S&O’s White-Collar Criminal Defense Practice

The 2020 edition of “Best Law Firms” has awarded Schertler & Onorato’s white-collar criminal defense practice a top “Tier 1” ranking in Washington, D.C. and a “Tier 2” national ranking.  S&O also received metropolitan rankings for its general criminal defense practice (Tier 1), bet-the-company litigation (Tier 2), and commercial litigation (Tier 3).  The “Best Law Firms” list is a joint undertaking of U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers.  Law firm rankings are the result of a rigorous evaluation process that includes client evaluations and peer review.  For the 2020 publication, 14,931 law firms throughout the United States were reviewed.  As the U.S. News/Best Law Firms press release states: “Achieving a tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise. . . . Firms that received a tier designation reflect the highest level of respect a firm can earn among other leading lawyers and clients from the same communities and practice areas.”
