Firm Announces New Name of Schertler Onorato Mead & Sears


JANUARY 2020

As of January 1, 2020, Schertler Onorato Mead & Sears, has changed its name to Schertler Onorato Mead & Sears.  The new name recognizes the arrival to the firm of partner Christopher B. Mead, a highly experienced litigator who spent six years as a prosecutor in the District of Maryland before co-founding London & Mead in 1994.  Mr. Mead has successfully tried dozens of cases to verdict as lead trial counsel in a wide range of substantive civil and criminal areas, including patent and intellectual property litigation, health care and pharmaceutical litigation, and complex contract disputes.  The new name also recognizes partner Stuart A. Sears and the significant contributions he has made to the firm’s practice since he joined us in 2013.  Mr. Sears’s robust white-collar criminal defense practice, exceptional trial skills, and astute judgment have helped build and solidify the firm’s reputation as a premier boutique litigation law firm in Washington, D.C.
