A federal district court in Maryland adopted the legal argument of Schertler & Onorato partner David Dickieson and dismissed the appeal of an arbitration decision that had been entered in favor of the firm’s client, a prominent National Football League agent. The federal court agreed that the appeal could not proceed, because the opposing party, also a sports agent, had failed to comply with service-of-process requirements under the Federal Arbitration Act.
