June 2018: S&O Attorney Lisa Manning is Promoted to Partner
Schertler & Onorato is pleased to announce that Lisa Manning has been named a Partner at the firm. Since joining Schertler & Onorato as Counsel in 2011, Ms. Manning has been involved in all areas of the firm’s litigation practice — including white-collar investigations, civil litigation, local criminal defense, and academic/professional disciplinary matters. She also leads the firm’s practice in expungement law. Ms. Manning has represented individuals in matters involving criminal antitrust laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, fraud, political corruption, securities law, tort and contract claims, and a wide spectrum of criminal charges in multiple local courts. Among Ms. Manning’s recent significant representations, she played key roles in the successful defense of a European telecom Chief Executive Officer in an international corruption investigation, as well as in obtaining a jury acquittal in a complex involuntary manslaughter trial in District of Columbia Superior Court. Ms. Manning is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and is admitted to practice in multiple federal courts and the United States Supreme Court.
