While on the Criminal Justice Committee, Mr. Ilahi and others spearheaded and designed the first ever Convenience Store Outreach Project, a nationwide legal education and compliance program designed to educate and inform South Asian convenience storeowners and operators on the laws surrounding the sale of over-the-counter cold medications, as well as some of the illegal tactics previously used by law enforcement.
